Meet Mr. Mackinac!

If you follow me on twitter and/or instagram then you may have already met the new addition to our family. If you don't follow me on there.. then you should probably get on that and keep reading this blog cause I promise it's about to be an overload of cuteness!

For Christmas, my parents got Stefan and me a puppy! We had been talking about getting one for a while.. because with both of us working, we felt bad for Halia and knew she could use a buddy. Since I've had Halia I've always lived with other people in the home so when we bought our house that was really the first time she was ever truly alone when I left. She missed us a lot! Plus Stefan really wanted a more "manly" dog...

Meet Mr. Mackinac Buckeye Boom Taylor!

This picture was when we first brought him home at 8 weeks. We call him Mack for short.

We named him after the location where we took our honeymoon. If you've never been to Mackinac you should plan a trip ASAP. It was absolutely beautiful and way fun.

Mack is a Golden Retriever. He currently is 12 weeks old and he's getting so big so fast! His parents were both 100lbs and over so he's going to be a big boy.

First family photo.

He loves Halia. They're best buds and love to play together and cause trouble for their momma.

I really think it's easier to have two dogs than just one. Obviously it's harder at first because training a new puppy takes time and patience.. but they keep each other occupied and learn from each other.

Brother - Sister cuddles.

Visiting the vet at 10 weeks. He was such a good boy! Yes, he has a pink leash. Don't judge the poor guy.. he already feels silly enough. The big red one was too heavy for him yet.

So our little family of three has grown to four. It will stay that way for a while.. until we get a cat ;)

  1. So cute! I used to have a Golden Retriever named Ranger. About two years ago at the age of 7 he got a blood clot in his spin leaving him paralyzed. He was such an amazing dog though! You got yourself a good one! Now we have a yellow lab and a puggle with a German Shepard/ black lab mix on the way! (she is a couple weeks old). Congrats on your family Hailee I am so happy for you!
